Results
Within a few days after a necklift, you should begin to see the initial results of the procedure. As swelling subsides and bruising dissipates, you will start to see the definition of your new, firmer neck. Healing should be complete within several weeks, but the final results of a necklift usually take from three to six months to fully appear. It is common for scarring to remain at a minimum. Plastic surgeons do their best to conceal surgical scars behind the ears and under the chin.
The results from a necklift are long-lasting with results lasting five to ten years on average. Lifestyle and general health always play a role in determining the length and quality of your cosmetic results. After recovery, remember to wear sunblock and to avoid the sun as much as possible- its aging rays will work against the effects of your youthful necklift.
