Dr. Terrence Murphy was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where he completed his medical training and general surgery residency at Dalhousie University. He finished his plastic surgery residency in Boston at the Lahey Clinic, a multi-specialty surgical clinic affiliated with Harvard University.
After his plastic surgery residency, Dr. Murphy returned to Canada, where he completed two years in private practice before moving to Denver, in October 1994. He relocated his practice to Swedish Medical Center in October 1996. In 2002 and 2007, he completed office remodeling to better serve his patients and offer them the state of the art in aesthetic surgical care.

The focus of Dr. Murphy’s practice is aesthetic surgery – specializing in surgery of the face and breasts, with a large experience in body contouring and liposuction. He is the Chief of Plastic Surgery for Swedish Medical Center. He is a member of all of the following medical societies: Fellow of the American College of Surgeons; Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery; Member of American Society of Plastic Surgery; Member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery; Member of Colorado Society of Plastic Surgeons.
